SCR GM Inspects Carriage Workshop at Lallaguda, Reviews Maintenance Facilities

Hyderabad, June 13 (TNT): South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Saturday conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Carriage Workshop (CWS) at Lallaguda and reviewed various maintenance, repair and modernization facilities at the premier coach maintenance unit.

During the visit, the General Manager inspected all major maintenance and repair sections of the workshop.

Chief Workshop Manager (CWM) Sumana G accompanied him and briefed him on the functioning of the workshop, safety procedures and operational practices being followed across various sections. Senior railway officials were also present.

The inspection commenced at the Wheel Shop and covered the D.V. Overhaul Section, Air Brake Shop, Paint Shop and Spring Shop.

Officials explained the safety measures adopted by staff and the functioning of different equipment and systems used in workshop operations.

Srivastava also reviewed several advanced facilities and modern equipment, including the LHB Work Station/Manipulator, Dynamic Wheel Balancing Machine, Shock Absorber Testing Machine, Air Brake Sub-Stores, New Trimming Shop, Optical Emission Spectrometer and Universal Testing Machine.

Appreciating the quality of work being maintained at the workshop, the General Manager expressed satisfaction over the adoption of new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and workforce skills. He also commended the officers and staff for maintaining a green and scrap-free environment within the workshop premises.

Describing Lallaguda Workshop as one of the premier coach maintenance facilities on Indian Railways, Srivastava credited the workforce for its high standards of maintenance and operational excellence.
