TTD Launches ‘Srivari Vaidya Seva’ to Engage Medical Experts in Voluntary Service

Tirumala, June 5 (TNT): The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams on Friday launched the “Srivari Vaidya Seva” programme on an experimental basis, inviting medical specialists and healthcare professionals from across India and abroad to render voluntary services in TTD-run hospitals and healthcare institutions.

The initiative was launched by TTD Executive Officer M. Ravichandra, who also unveiled a specially designed IT application to facilitate online registration and participation by medical experts.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravichandra said the programme had been introduced following the directions of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu with the objective of making the expertise of renowned medical professionals available to devotees of Lord Venkateswara.

He said the programme is being implemented on a pilot basis and would be refined further based on feedback received from participating specialists. The EO added that TTD aims to serve as a platform for professionals willing to contribute their expertise in healthcare, education, information technology and other sectors with a spirit of service.

Under the programme, super-speciality medical experts will be able to offer voluntary services for a period of three days, while MBBS doctors can participate for seven days. TTD will provide accommodation and food facilities for the volunteers during their stay in Tirumala and Tirupati.

The medical professionals will render services at institutions including Ashwini Hospital, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, BIRRD Hospital, Ayurvedic Hospital, Sri Padmavathi Children’s Heart Centre, SV Gosala and other TTD-affiliated institutions.

Through the dedicated IT platform, devotees and medical experts from across the world can register online and choose dates convenient to them for offering their services.

During the launch programme, Hyderabad Eye Hospital Senior Consultant Prof. Venkatachalam, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Academic Director Prof. R.A. Sastry, Andhra Medical College Vice-Principal Prof. Rajendra Prasad and Bengaluru ESI Hospital Orthopaedics Head Dr. Purushottam interacted virtually with the EO and expressed their willingness to participate in the initiative.

They described the opportunity to serve at TTD healthcare institutions as a blessing from Lord Venkateswara.

TTD Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, JEOs Dr. Sarath and Veerabrahmam, CVSO Muralikrishna, TTD CPRO Dr T Ravi , hospital directors, doctors and staff members attended the programme.
