UP CM Yogi Directs Completion of Land Acquisition for Key Expressway Projects by June-End

Lucknow, May 28 (TNT): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to complete land acquisition for the Agra-Lucknow-Purvanchal Link Expressway, Jewar Link Expressway and Jhansi Link Expressway projects by the end of June.

Reviewing progress of expressway projects at his official residence here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said improved connectivity would provide fresh momentum to industrial development, investments and employment generation.

Officials informed the meeting that around 55 per cent land acquisition had already been completed for the Farrukhabad Link Expressway project.

The meeting was also informed that the alignment for the Meerut-Haridwar Expressway had been approved and preparation of the land acquisition action plan was underway.

Reviewing industrial infrastructure projects, Yogi Adityanath stressed that delays in investment-related projects would not be tolerated and directed officials to maintain continuous engagement with investors.

Officials said possession had been secured for 301 hectares out of the required 323 hectares for the proposed Multi Modal Logistic Hub project, while 144 hectares out of 200 hectares needed for the Multi Modal Transport Hub had already been made available.

The Chief Minister also reviewed proposed Seed Park and Textile Park projects in Lucknow and directed that they be integrated with the State’s agricultural and industrial development strategy.

Officials informed the meeting that discussions had been held with international institutions and major seed companies regarding the Seed Park project and consensus had been reached on further action.

Reviewing Defence Corridor projects, Yogi Adityanath directed officials to extend all necessary support to investors to make Uttar Pradesh a leading defence manufacturing hub.

Officials informed that Icons Hindustan Aerospace and Defence Systems Private Limited had proposed an investment of ₹125 crore in the Aligarh Defence Node.

The Chief Minister also reviewed proposals for an Agriculture Export Hub near Noida International Airport and the Aqua Bridge project in Unnao aimed at strengthening processing and export infrastructure for agriculture and fisheries products.

Reviewing the Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Yojana and projects proposed under the Urban Challenge Fund, Yogi Adityanath stressed the need to promote self-employment opportunities and strengthen modern urban infrastructure in view of rapid urbanisation.
