Tirupati: Sacred Jewellery gift from Lord Venkateswara to Sri Govindaraja Swamy
Tirupati, May 27 (TNT): In connection with the annual Brahmotsavams at Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple, TTD on Wednesday ceremonially presented four precious ornaments worth about Rs.71 lakh from Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple to Sri Govindaraja Swamy ahead of the grand Garuda Seva.
The divine offerings include gold pendants studded with stones and a gold kasula mala. Adorned with these ornaments, the deity will bless devotees on Garuda Vahanam.
The jewellery was taken in a grand procession with Vedic chants, mangala vadyams and Govinda namasmarana from Sri Yeduru Anjaneya Swamy Temple to the temple amid devotional fervour.
Elephants, horses and cultural troupes added splendour to the occasion.
TTD officials, archakas, Srivari Sevaks and devotees participated.
