Telangana CM Lays Foundation Stones for nearly Rs 100 Cr Temple Development Works at Yadagirigutta
Yadagirigutta (Telangana), May 23 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday laid foundation stones for various temple-related development works worth ₹99.55 crore at the renowned Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple here.
The projects include construction of a Veda Pathashala at a cost of ₹43.80 crore, Swamy Vari Nitya Kalyana Mandapam atop the hill at ₹9.87 crore, and a roof covering over the stairway route from Vaikuntha Dwaram to the hilltop at an estimated cost of ₹1.41 crore.
The Chief Minister also performed Bhumi Puja for the proposed Veda Pathashala at the shrine.
The ceremony was attended by Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati, head of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham.
Later, Revanth Reddy offered prayers and had darshan of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at the temple.
Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Konda Surekha and Adluri Laxman Kumar, MPs Vem Narender Reddy and Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, along with MLAs, MLCs and senior officials, were present on the occasion.
