President Murmu pays tributes to former President Neelam Sanjiva Reddy on birth anniversary

New Delhi, May 19 (TNT): President of India Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday  paid floral tributes to former President of India Neelam Sanjiva Reddy on his birth anniversary at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The tribute ceremony was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where the President remembered Neelam Sanjiva Reddy’s contribution to public life and Indian democracy.

Neelam Sanjiva Reddy, who served as the sixth President of India from 1977 to 1982, was the first Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and also served as Speaker of the Lok Sabha before assuming the country’s highest constitutional office.

Leaders and dignitaries across the country also paid homage to the former President on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
