AP CM Naidu urges citizens to follow ‘My Nation-My Responsibility’ spirit amid global uncertainties

Amaravati, May 13 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday urged citizens to follow the advisory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and act responsibly amid global uncertainties arising out of tensions in West Asia.

Appealing to people to adopt the spirit of “My Nation-My Responsibility”, the Chief Minister advised citizens to reduce petrol and diesel consumption, encourage work-from-home practices, avoid unnecessary expenditure and luxury travel, reduce oversized vehicle convoys and prefer domestic tourism over foreign travel.

He also called for restraint in discretionary spending, including gold purchases, stating that responsible consumption and energy conservation were essential during periods of global uncertainty.

Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the Bollineni Institute of Skill, Education and Research (BISER) at Nidamarru village here, the Chief Minister said disruptions in fuel supplies and economic uncertainties due to geopolitical tensions in West Asia underscored the importance of energy self-reliance.

He stressed the need to accelerate green energy generation through rooftop solar systems and decentralised power production.

The Chief Minister also stated that the government had reduced electricity procurement costs and assured that power tariffs would not be increased under the present administration.
