Postal Department Invites Applications for Franchise Outlets in Secunderabad Division

Hyderabad, Apr 24 (TNT): The Department of Posts India has invited applications from individuals interested in setting up Postal Franchise Outlets in the Secunderabad Division to enhance accessibility of postal services.

The opportunity is open to residents of Secunderabad and Vikarabad regions.

The initiative aims to expand the reach of postal services through local entrepreneurs and small business operators, the Department said in a release here on Friday.

As per the notification, individuals running small businesses such as kirana shops, stationery stores, pan shops, petty shops, and those operating in niche markets like electronics or artisan segments are eligible to apply.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and should have passed Intermediate (12th class) from a recognised board.

However, candidates applying specifically for delivery assignments can qualify with a 10th class pass.

Basic computer knowledge and the ability to operate departmental mobile applications are required, though a formal computer certificate is not mandatory.

Applicants should also be proficient in the local language and English, with good communication skills.

For delivery-related roles, candidates must possess a valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving licence and own a vehicle. A PAN card is mandatory for all applicants.

Selected candidates will be required to furnish a security deposit as per prescribed rules.
