Telangana CM to release ‘Rythu Bharosa’ second instalment on April 20

Hyderabad, Apr 18 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will release the second instalment of ‘Rythu Bharosa’ financial assistance to farmers on April 20, coinciding with the 90th episode of the “Rythu Nestham” programme.

The Chief Minister will participate in the programme from Nastur Palli village in Kataram mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, where the event will be held under the aegis of the state Agriculture Department, said Dr B. Gopi, Director, Department of Agriculture Hyderabad, in a release here on Saturday.

The programme will be broadcast live across about 1,600 Rythu Vedikas equipped with video conferencing facilities, enabling nearly 3.2 lakh farmers to watch and participate.

The event will feature screening of videos on modern agricultural technologies developed by the Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University. Scientists will also create awareness on soil fertility and health, including methods of soil sample collection, interpretation of soil test results, prevention of soil pollution and the importance of micronutrients.

Agriculture Department officials will provide details on the “Agri Stack – Farmers Registry”, while farmers will be given an opportunity to directly interact with scientists and officials to discuss their concerns and technical queries.

The government urged farmers to attend the programme at their nearest Rythu Vedika, adopt scientific farming practices and avail themselves of the benefits of various agricultural schemes.
