Hyderabad, Apr 17 (TNT): Members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal organized a large-scale protest in Dilsukhnagar here on Friday against what they described as “Love Jihad.”
Speaking on the occasion , VHP National Spokesperson Ravinutala Sashidhar termed such activities a serious concern and urged governments to enact stringent laws to curb them.
He also called for greater vigilance among families and stressed the need for awareness initiatives.
Referring to incidents in Nashik and Amravati in Maharashtra, he expressed concern over what he described as emerging trends and their impact.
He also urged the state government to conduct a special investigation into such cases.
The protest saw participation from VHP District President Purushottam Reddy, District Joint Secretary Sanjay Sharma, leaders Sairam and Sudheer, and Matrishakti representative Latashri, among others.
