IHCL Signs Vivanta Hotel at Bhogapuram International Airport in AP

Visakhapatnam, Apr 15 (TNT): Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has announced the signing of a new Vivanta-branded hotel at Bhogapuram International Airport in Andhra Pradesh.

The project, to be developed as a greenfield venture, will take IHCL’s portfolio in the state to nine hotels, including four currently under development, the company said in a release on Wednesday.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport is poised to emerge as a key aviation hub, driving growth along the Visakhapatnam–Bheemili–Bhogapuram corridor.

She added that strong infrastructure development and government-led tourism initiatives are enhancing the region’s potential, with the hotel expected to cater to corporate, MICE and transit demand.

The 165-key Vivanta Bhogapuram International Airport hotel, located adjacent to the terminal, will offer seamless access for travellers.

It will feature an all-day dining restaurant ‘Mynt’, a bar ‘Wink’ and a deli ‘Swirl’. Amenities will include a swimming pool, a fully equipped gym and over 4,000 sq. ft. of banqueting space for business and social events.

The upcoming airport is expected to serve as a major gateway for North Andhra, boosting tourism and economic activity along the East Coast.

Incorporated by Jamsetji Tata, IHCL opened its first hotel, The Taj Mahal Palace in Bombay, in 1903. The company currently has a portfolio of 628 hotels, including 255 in the pipeline, across four continents, 14 countries and over 250 locations.
