Visakhapatnam, Apr 14 (TNT): Demonstrating a spirit of selfless service, JVSS Sarma, former General Manager (Projects) at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), donated his rare O-negative blood for the 39th time here on Tuesday to support a patient undergoing heart surgery.
Sarma donated blood for a patient identified as M. Srinivas Rao at Medicover Hospitals, where the patient is scheduled to undergo a critical procedure.
Known for his humanitarian values, Sarma has continued his service-oriented activities even after opting for voluntary retirement.
A regular donor, he contributes blood once every three months, setting an example of commitment to society.
Members of the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation and former colleagues appreciated his gesture and lauded his dedication to helping those in need.
They expressed hope that he would continue to be blessed with good health and strength to carry forward his service to society.
