Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Pays Tributes to Ambedkar, Reaffirms Focus on Dalit, Tribal Welfare

Hyderabad, Apr 13 (TNT) : Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday paid rich tributes to B. R. Ambedkar on the occasion of his birth anniversary, recalling his contributions to social justice and empowerment of oppressed sections.

In a statement, the Chief Minister said Ambedkar’s vision and foresight in drafting the Constitution continue to inspire generations, and described his struggle for the rights of Dalits, Adivasis, backward classes and women as a guiding force for society.

Reddy said the state government, inspired by Ambedkar’s ideals, has taken key decisions including categorisation of SC sub-castes and enhancement of BC reservations, while prioritising welfare measures for Dalit and tribal communities.

He also highlighted initiatives such as increased mess charges and allowances in welfare hostels.

The Chief Minister announced that the government would establish a “Young India Integrated Residential School” in every Assembly constituency to provide quality education to children from all sections.
