Telangana CM Calls New High Court Complex ‘Temple of Justice

Hyderabad, Apr 5 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday termed the proposed High Court complex at Rajendranagar as a “temple of justice” while laying the foundation stone for the High Court Zone-II of the project.

He said the occasion was rare and significant, noting that building a court complex is akin to creating a sacred space for justice accessible to people of all faiths.

“For a common citizen, the court represents the final door to knock and the last resort,” he said.

Emphasising that the legislature, executive and judiciary function with autonomy, interdependence and mutual respect, the Chief Minister reaffirmed his government’s commitment to strengthening the judicial system.

Revanth Reddy said the decision to construct a new High Court complex was taken soon after his government assumed office in December 2023, citing the limitations of the existing historic building.

He said the new complex would serve as an enduring institution for society, enabling the poor and marginalised to seek justice for generations.

Noting that 100 acres of land have been allocated for the project, he said work on Zone-I is in progress, while the foundation for residential facilities under Zone-II was laid on Sunday.

The Chief Minister said the government aims to complete the project in a time-bound manner and added that infrastructure works for 49 courts and residential complexes are underway across the state.

Stressing institutional harmony, he said all pillars of democracy must function collaboratively and avoid confrontation, adding that the government respects not only judicial verdicts but also observations.
