Hyderabad/Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 3 (TNT) : Union Minister G Kishan Reddy on Friday released an open letter to voters in Kerala, alleging that several guarantees made by the Indian National Congress in Telangana remain unfulfilled.
In the letter, Kishan Reddy said the Congress had come to power in Telangana promising six guarantees and over 420 assurances to farmers, women, youth and the poor, but many of these have not been implemented on the ground.
He alleged that key commitments such as financial support to farmers, MSP enhancement, and farm loan waivers are yet to fully reach beneficiaries. Promises relating to financial assistance for women, student support schemes, unemployment allowance and pensions were also cited as pending.
Raising concerns over the state’s finances, Kishan Reddy claimed that Telangana’s debt and liabilities have increased, while several welfare measures remain incomplete.
He also pointed to delays in employee benefits, including dearness allowance instalments and retirement dues.
The Union Minister urged voters in Kerala to carefully assess such claims and make an informed electoral choice, stressing that governance should prioritise delivery, financial discipline and long-term development.
The letter comes amid ongoing political campaigning, with Kishan Reddy pitching the NDA as an alternative for governance.
