Hyderabad, Apr 2 (TNT): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday carried out extensive searches at premises linked to political consultancy firm Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) across multiple cities, including Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Delhi, as part of a money laundering investigation tied to an alleged coal smuggling case in West Bengal.
According to officials, the raids also covered the Kolkata residence of I-PAC director Pratik Jain and premises linked to co-founder and director Rishi Raj Singh.
The searches are linked to an ongoing probe into alleged coal smuggling and pilferage in West Bengal.
This is not the first such action in the case as the ED had earlier conducted searches in January at I-PAC offices and at the Kolkata residence of its founder and director Pratik Gandhi.
