TTD Presents ‘Divine Gifts’ from Tirumala for Sita Rama Kalyanam at Vontimitta

Vontimitta, Apr 2 (TNT):  The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) presented traditional ‘divine gifts’ from Tirumala Venkateswara Temple on the occasion of the celestial Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam at Vontimitta in Kadapa district on Wednesday.

As part of the offerings, a golden ‘mukha patti’ weighing about one kilogram was presented to the presiding deity, along with a silver pot weighing approximately two kilograms, as a ceremonial ‘marriage gift’ from Lord Sri Venkateswara.

The practice of sending offerings from Tirumala to TTD-affiliated temples is a long-standing tradition, especially during important religious events such as Brahmotsavam.

TTD Chairman B. R. Naidu and Executive Officer M. Ravichandra performed special pujas to the ornaments at Tirumala before formally handing them over to the authorities of the Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple at Vontimitta.

TTD Joint Executive Officer Veerabrahamam and other officials were present on the occasion.
