AP Dy CM warns officials against corruption, negligence

Visakhapatnam, Jan 30 (TNT) :Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Panchayat Raj Pawan Kalyan on Friday warned officials against corruption and negligence, stating that there would be zero tolerance for such practices.

He said the Kutami Government is committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the people by ensuring transparent and accountable governance.

Addressing a review meeting of Uttandhra Panchayat Raj and Rural Development department officials here, the Deputy Chief Minister said the government is striving to deliver welfare schemes effectively at every level.

He stressed that officials, from senior officers to field assistants, must discharge their duties with dedication and integrity.

At the same time, Pawan Kalyan assured that the government would stand by officials who work honestly and responsibly.

The Deputy Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of various schemes under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), including Palle Panduga, Adivithalli Bata, and the Jal Jeevan Mission.

He emphasized the need for timely implementation and quality execution of all developmental works.

“I do not want applause or praise. I want work on the ground,” he said, adding that no political recommendations would be entertained and that all officials must strictly follow rules and regulations.

He further said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the state government are making continuous efforts to secure more funds from the Central Government for rural development.

MLA Vamsi Krishna and Visakhapatnam District Collector M.N. Harinder Prasad were among those who attended the meeting.
