Hyderabad, Mar 13 (TNT): Telangana State Chief Secretary, K. Ramakrishna Rao, on Friday reviewed the status of LPG stocks and supply to consumers across the state at a meeting held in the Dr B.R. Ambedkar State Secretariat.
The review meeting was attended by representatives of oil marketing companies and officials from the Civil Supplies Department. Discussions focused on LPG supply across the state, existing stock levels, transportation arrangements and future demand.
The Chief Secretary directed officials to take necessary measures to ensure that there are no disruptions in the distribution of LPG cylinders to domestic consumers.
He asked authorities to conduct daily monitoring, prevent black marketing and ensure police vigilance at LPG distributorships and agencies where required.
Officials informed that the state currently has around 12.9 million domestic LPG connections and that sufficient stocks are available to meet the existing demand.
Authorities also stated that LPG cylinders are being supplied to hospitals and government hostels as per requirement.
Representatives of oil marketing companies and department officials assured that there is no cause for concern regarding LPG supply to household consumers.
Officials further noted that 810 LPG distributorship centres are operating across the state.
The Chief Secretary directed oil marketing companies to ensure timely delivery of cylinders to consumers and to strengthen coordination with relevant departments so that supplies reach both rural and urban areas without delay.
Representatives from HPCL, IOCL and BPCL, along with State Civil Supplies Commissioner Stephen Ravindra and other senior officials, attended the meeting.
