Hyderabad, Mar 13 (TNT): Over 5.28 lakh students, including more than 2.67 lakh boys and 2.60 lakh girls, will appear for the SSC examinations across Telangana beginning March 14, officials said on Friday.
The examinations will be conducted at 2,676 centres across the state and will continue until April 16, with the tests scheduled between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. daily.
The state’s School Education Department has introduced several new initiatives this year, including QR codes on hall tickets to help students easily locate their examination centres.
The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) has also released sample OMR sheets and answer booklets to familiarise students with the examination format.
Officials said students will be allowed a ‘grace period of five minutes ‘ to enter the examination centres, similar to last year.
To ensure smooth conduct of the exams, 144 flying squads have been deployed to monitor centres and prevent malpractice.
Meanwhile, Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, extended his best wishes to students appearing for the examinations.
In a message, the Governor urged students to approach the exams with ‘confidence and a positive mindset’, viewing them as an opportunity to showcase their learning rather than as a source of stress. He advised them to remain calm, manage their time effectively, and focus on giving their best.
He also acknowledged the support of parents and teachers in guiding students and wished all examinees success in their academic journey.
