Hyderabad, March 10 (TNT): The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) , honoured ten truck drivers for exemplary driving behaviour at the Muthangi Truck Parking facility here on Tuesday under the “Vishisht Saarthi” initiative.
Launched under the leadership of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, the programme recognises drivers who consistently follow traffic rules, maintain lane discipline, and contribute to safer highways.
The Hyderabad event, held alongside four other cities, was attended by NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav, IHMCL Managing Director Vishal Chauhan, and CEO Mudit Agarwal virtually from New Delhi.
Organised in collaboration with logistics platforms Loadsor and TruckSuvidha, the initiative promotes road safety, professionalises truck driving, and supports driver welfare through training, awareness programmes, and health initiatives.
The felicitation highlighted the vital role truck drivers play in keeping India’s highways safe and the logistics sector efficient.
