Hyderabad, Mar 4 (TNT): The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, Golconda team, busted adulterated ghee manufacturing facility in Bholanagar, Bangaja hills in the city during the raids, police said here on Wednesday.
The Task Force in a joint operation with Masab tank Police, raided “Pride Dairy” in Bholanagar, and apprehended owner Mohammed Junaid Hussain (26), for illegally manufacturing adulterated ghee using cow and buffalo cream mixed with palm oil, vanaspati, and other low-quality substances.
During the operation, police seized 460 kg of adulterated ghee, 70 kg of mixed ghee, 2,090 kg of cow cream, 1,170 kg of buffalo cream, along with machinery, boilers, weighing machines, gas cylinders, and packing materials, totaling Rs 18.26 lakh in value.
Police said the adulterated products were being sold to the public, hotels, and event organisers, posing a serious public health risk.
A case has been registered at Masabtank Police station.
