AP: ASR Homoeopathic Medical College Hosts White Coat Ceremony, Launches Tech-Driven Education Initiative

Tadepalligudem (Andhra Pradesh), Jan 30 (TNT): ASR Homoeopathic Medical College has conducted the White Coat Ceremony for the 2025–26 batch of BHMS students here recently and inaugurated a comprehensive technology-integrated academic programme, marking a new phase in homoeopathic medical education.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. P. Chandra Sekhar Garu, Vice Chancellor of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, who formally launched the initiative and addressed the gathering.
As part of the ceremony, first-year students donned white coats and took the Hippocratic and Hahnemannian Oaths, formally entering the medical profession.
The Vice Chancellor paid floral tributes to Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, founder of homoeopathy.
Gold medals were presented to rank holders of the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences examinations in recognition of academic excellence on the occasion.
The newly introduced academic initiative aims to implement the Competency-Based Dynamic Curriculum recommended by the National Commission for Homoeopathy, Ministry of AYUSH, and endorsed by the university.
The programme includes the integration of Artificial Intelligence-based learning tools, access to Elsevier’s Complete Anatomy 3D application, Hompath Elite homeopathic software, and the distribution of pre-loaded laptops to all first-year students.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Chandra Sekhar announced enhanced support for research in AYUSH systems and lauded the institution’s efforts in strengthening homoeopathic education. College Chairman Dr. Akula Vijay Vardhan and Principal Dr. Ananda Kumar Pingali highlighted the institution’s commitment to innovation and quality education.
The event was attended by medical professionals, faculty members, students, and parents.
