Mumbai, Mar 1 (TNT): The Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and McGill University, a Canada’s top ranked medical doctoral university, have partnered to establish the Centre of Excellence in AI Education and Research in India.
The MoU was signed by Shyam S Bhartia, Founder & Chairman, Jubilant Bhartia Group and Hari S Bhartia, Founder & Co-Chairman, Jubilant Bhartia Group and Professor Deep Saini, President and Vice-Chancellor, McGill University in the presence of Canada’s Foreign Minister Anita Anand and India’s Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary, here on Saturday.
The Centre aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, producing job-ready AI engineers and future research leaders.
Its flagship Master’s program will combine academic rigor with applied learning, live projects, and industry engagement to address real-world AI challenges in India.
Shyam S Bhartia and Hari S Bhartia, founders of Jubilant Bhartia Group, said the initiative will create an ecosystem where academic concepts translate into enterprise-scale AI deployment. Professor Deep Saini, McGill University, said that the Centre strengthens global partnerships and fosters applied AI research.
The program will emphasize applied learning, mentorship from international faculty, research-driven innovation, and curriculum agility, aiming to develop high-impact AI professionals and support India’s vision as a global AI hub.
