Telangana CM Launches 99-Day ‘Praja Palana–Pragati Pranalika’ Drive, Orders Mission-Mode Governance Reforms

Hyderabad, Feb 28 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday evening announced a 99-day statewide programme titled “Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika” (Public Governance – Progress Plan) to bring government schemes, development works and welfare initiatives closer to the people.

The programme will be implemented from March 6 to June 12, with June 2 (Telangana State Formation Day) to be celebrated as a grand festival.

Activities will be carried out from village to State level under a structured schedule, with a special logo and action plan to be prepared.

Chairing a review meeting with principal secretaries and senior officials here, the Chief Minister directed that pending files be cleared in mission mode and that sanitation drives be conducted in all government offices during the 99 days.

He said decisions must translate into visible results on the ground and warned that lapses in performance would not be tolerated.

He added that he would personally monitor the progress through regular reviews.

Revanth Reddy stressed the need for inter-departmental coordination and announced a committee under senior IAS officer Jayesh Ranjan to recommend technological reforms within three weeks. The reforms aim to simplify citizen services and expand digital governance so that approvals and services can be accessed online without visiting offices.

He also called for strict implementation of welfare schemes, strengthening of government schools and hospitals, improved utilisation of central funds, and accelerated execution of investment proposals signed at global forums.

The Chief Minister urged officials to work with renewed commitment to deliver transparent and accountable governance and position Telangana as a leading State in development and administration.
