1,135 Singareni workers to be regularised as General Assistants
Hyderabad, Nov 6 (UNI) : State-owned Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has decided to regularise 1,135 Badli Workers and General Assistant Trainees as General Assistants with effect from September 1, 2026.
The decision follows the assurance given by Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bhatti Vikramarka to workers, the Mining company said in a release onĀ on Friday.
The regularisation will benefit workers who have been waiting for two to three years or more. It covers those who joined the company on or before December 31, 2025, and completed at least 190 working days in underground departments or 240 working days in opencast mines or outside departments during any calendar year up to December 31, 2025.
SCCL Chairman and Managing Director Buddhaprakash Jyoti has directed the General Manager (Personnel) to issue a circular asking Area General Managers to submit lists of eligible workers by November 23. Workers fulfilling the prescribed criteria will be regularised retrospectively from September 1, the release said.
The management said the regularisation process was being taken up periodically under the present government, providing relief to workers who earlier had to wait for considerable periods for similar benefits.
Bhatti Vikramarka congratulated the workers and said the government was committed to fulfilling its assurances to Singareni employees.
He urged them to maintain discipline, attend duties regularly and contribute to the company’s growth and expansion.
The SCCL CMD also stressed that regular attendance and discipline would help improve production and productivity and create opportunities for career advancement, including regularisation and internal promotions.
Unauthorised absence could jeopardise such opportunities, he cautioned.
