Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday reviewed the preparations for the summit with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, other Ministers and senior officials at the Secretariat and directed them to ensure comprehensive arrangements for the international event.
The summit will feature six major exhibition halls, including Raksha Expo, India Joy, Pharma and Life Sciences Expo, Education Expo, Tourism Expo and other sector-specific exhibitions.
This year’s event will be organised on a much larger scale compared to the previous edition, officials informed the Chief Minister.
Revanth Reddy directed officials to invite Chief Ministers of other States and representatives of leading international companies interested in investing in Telangana.
He also instructed them to appoint dedicated liaison and security officers for every visiting delegate and complete registration and entry-pass arrangements immediately upon their arrival at the airport.
The Chief Minister stressed that international delegates and industry representatives should be provided comprehensive information about the summit in advance and ensured a hassle-free experience throughout their visit.
Officials were asked to finalise the comprehensive arrangements by November 15.
The summit will feature 52 sector-specific sessions across four main halls. Around 3,500 invitations have already been sent, while 25 sector-specific executive councils and 10 committees have been constituted to coordinate various activities, including protocol, security, accommodation and exhibitions.
The Raksha Expo will showcase advanced defence equipment, drones and robotics relating to defence, aerospace, space and cybersecurity sectors.
Plans are also being considered for an air show. Of the 575 organisations invited, 49 have confirmed their participation.
India Joy 2026 will focus on animation, visual effects, gaming and comics, while a dedicated startup pavilion will showcase innovations from 136 ventures. Applications are being invited until November 20 for the Telangana Innovation Startup Challenge, which seeks technological solutions in agriculture, education, healthcare, protection of government lands and public infrastructure.
The Pharma and Life Sciences Expo will feature around 60 companies. An exhibition on agriculture and allied sectors will highlight modern farming technologies, agricultural drones, dairy, fisheries and food processing.
A special Telangana Pavilion will showcase the State’s history, culture, handlooms, Bathukamma festival and Kakatiya architectural heritage, besides highlighting its development and future growth plans.
The Chief Minister directed officials to give special prominence to tourism by showcasing major tourist destinations in Telangana to international delegates. The Education Expo will focus on education, research and skill development, covering the sector from nursery education to higher studies, including international institutions.
A special Telangana Climate Conclave will be organised on December 8 to deliberate on climate change, drought conditions and the possible impact of El Niño on the State.
Around 200 scientists, farmers and experts are expected to participate in the conclave, which will discuss drought-resilient agriculture, livestock management, drinking water security, protection against extreme heat, conservation of forests and biodiversity, and conversion of waste into wealth.
Revanth Reddy stressed the need to identify emerging climate-related challenges and formulate immediate and long-term solutions.
He directed officials to ensure that the conclave resulted in a specific action plan to address drought and climate change-related challenges in Telangana.
The Chief Minister also directed the Cabinet sub-committee headed by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, with Ministers N Uttam Kumar Reddy, D Sridhar Babu and Gaddam Vivek as members, to regularly review the progress of the summit arrangements.
