Ananth Technologies supplies critical systems for GSLV-F18, NVS-03 mission

Hyderabad, Oct 31 (TNT): Hyderabad-based Ananth Technologies has supplied 46 avionics and electronics packages for the GSLV-F18 launch vehicle and nine critical systems for the NVS-03 navigation satellite launched by ISRO on Saturday.

The systems supplied for the launch vehicle cover telemetry, data acquisition, navigation, guidance and control, power management, relay units, structural monitoring, actuator control and transponder functions.

For the NVS-03 satellite, the company supplied power-management packages, DC-DC converters, star sensors and attitude and orbit control systems. These systems support power conversion and distribution, onboard computing and spacecraft attitude determination.

NVS-03, the third satellite in India’s next-generation navigation satellite system, is designed to ensure continuity of navigation services under the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) series.

The satellite carries an indigenous atomic clock along with procured atomic clocks and incorporates the L1 signal in addition to the existing L5 and S signals.

Its coverage extends across India’s landmass and a region up to 1,500 km beyond the country’s geopolitical boundary, according to the company.

Ananth Technologies Chairman Dr Subba Rao Pavuluri congratulated ISRO scientists, engineers and technicians on the successful launch, describing it as an important step in strengthening India’s indigenous space capabilities and independent satellite navigation services.

The company said it had contributed to 111 satellites and 91 launch vehicles in India’s space programme.

Ananth Technologies, which has its headquarters in Hyderabad, operates facilities in Bengaluru for satellite assembly, integration and testing, and in Thiruvananthapuram for fabrication, assembly and testing of launch vehicle subsystems. It also provides electronics manufacturing, integration, testing and turnkey space solutions.
