Panch Parivartan Principles Can Drive Positive Social Change: Telangana Governor
Releasing the book Panch Parivartan at the Lok Bhavan Community Hall here , he said education should go beyond imparting knowledge and securing employment to nurturing moral values, discipline, humanity and responsible citizenship.
The Governor said India’s rich knowledge traditions had always regarded education as the foundation for character development and holistic growth.
Its true purpose was to shape citizens who combined knowledge with humanity and a modern outlook with cultural values, he added.
Emphasising the five principles, Shukla called for promoting mutual respect and national unity through social harmony, instilling discipline and responsibility among children through family values, and making environmental protection part of everyday life.
He also stressed the need to embrace modern knowledge while remaining rooted in Indian culture and traditions.
Society and the nation could progress only when citizens fulfilled their duties sincerely alongside exercising their rights, he said.
The Governor called upon families, educational institutions, teachers, parents and society to work together to translate the principles of Panch Parivartan into practice.
The book aims to promote patriotism, moral values and a sense of responsibility towards the nation among students.
Shukla expressed confidence that collective efforts by citizens would help build a value-based society and appreciated the organisers for taking the message of Panch Parivartan to the public.
