BRS working Prez KTR accuses Rahul Gandhi of ignoring unfulfilled poll promises in Telangana

Hyderabad, Oct 25 (TNT) : BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Sunday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of failing to ensure the implementation of poll promises made to the people of Telangana and alleged that the state had become an “ATM” for him under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s government.

In a strongly worded statement at a meeting held at party office here, KTR described Rahul Gandhi as a “lapata leader” and accused him of making unfulfilled promises to the people.

He questioned why the Congress leader was speaking about issues concerning students across the country but was not visiting Telangana to address their concerns.

KTR alleged that before the 2023 Assembly elections, the Congress had made 420 promises to the people of Telangana, besides pledging to implement six guarantees within 100 days and fulfil 13 declarations.

Claiming that more than 1,000 days had passed, the BRS leader questioned the status of the promises and demanded accountability from Rahul Gandhi and the Congress government.

He alleged that while the BJP government at the Centre was dividing people, the Congress government in Telangana was indulging in corruption and misusing public resources.

KTR further accused Rahul Gandhi of turning a blind eye to alleged corruption, irregularities and scams in Telangana and alleged that Revanth Reddy had become an “ATM card” for the Congress leader.
