AP: RINL resumes ‘Vizag TMT Rebars production to boost market supply
Visakhapatnam, Oct 23 (TNT) : State-owned steelmaker Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, has restarted the production and rolling of its flagship TMT rebars.
The rolling operations, which resumed in mid-October 2026, have significantly augmented the open-market availability of the company’s prime construction steel marketed under the “Vizag TMT” brand.
The re-introduction of the rebars across multiple dimensional specifications is set to ease supply constraints for residential housing, large-scale commercial real estate, and public infrastructure projects.
The resumption of production has drawn positive feedback from regional distribution networks, trade channels, and project developers, who have cited the brand’s established metallurgical standards and structural reliability in construction applications.
