FIEO to host two-day Export Training Programme in Hyderabad from Oct 29 to 30

The workshop, organised with the support of Central Bank of India, is tailored for aspiring entrepreneurs, start-ups, established exporters, and business professionals seeking to navigate international trade procedures and scale export ventures, the apex export promotion body said in a release on Friday.

According to FIEO, the sessions will provide end-to-end guidance across key aspects of foreign trade. These include export registration formalities, Foreign Trade Policy provisions, export incentive schemes, trade finance, international market research, product-country mapping, and ITC-HS classification.

Participants will also be trained on operational and regulatory mechanisms, including International Commercial Terms (Incoterms), Letters of Credit, global payment structures, packaging and labelling norms, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), GST refunds, and Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) regulations.

The programme will also highlight credit risk mitigation, trade opportunities via Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras (DNK) and India Post, and institutional support provided by Export Promotion Councils and FIEO.

Officials from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India (ECGC), Department of Posts, banking institutions, and trade domain specialists will address the technical sessions.

“The programme is expected to help participants understand the essential requirements of starting an export business, explore new international markets, improve export compliance, and make effective use of available government schemes and institutional support,” said Unnikrishnan K., Joint Director General, FIEO.

A formal course completion certificate will be awarded to all participants at the conclusion of the two-day programme.
