Aswa Vahana Seva Marks Conclusion of Navaratri Brahmotsavams in Tirumala
Tirumala, Oct 19 (TNT): The Aswa Vahana Seva, the final among the various Vahana Sevas of the ongoing Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams, was held with religious fervour in Tirumala on Monday evening.
Sri Malayappa Swamy, in Kalki Avataram, blessed devotees with a divine darshan atop the resplendent Aswa Vahanam.
According to Hindu scriptures, the horse symbolises the senses, while the human body is likened to a chariot, the intellect to the charioteer and the mind to the reins.
The senses, like horses, tend to wander and require control.
The Lord’s procession atop the Aswa Vahanam signifies the importance of restraining the senses and directing the mind towards the Supreme Almighty.
The darshan conveys the spiritual message of controlling one’s senses and enshrining Paramatma in one’s heart.
