The car was unveiled at MINI Speed Motorwagen, the newly launched MINI dealership in Lucknow.
It will be available as a completely built-up unit (CBU) and can be booked at authorised MINI dealerships across the country. Deliveries have commenced immediately, the company said.
Based on the Favoured Pack, the Oxford Edition is offered in two exterior colours — Indigo Sunset Blue and Chilli Red.
It features a white contrast roof bearing the Union Jack, white mirror caps, a Union Jack-themed boot sticker and 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels.
The Union Jack theme continues inside the cabin, with distinctive detailing on the steering wheel, floor mats, door sills and key cap.
The model comes with JCW Sport Seats in Vescin Black upholstery as standard.
The car is equipped with a 240-mm circular OLED touchscreen, MINI Operating System 9, voice control, a head-up display, a Harman Kardon surround sound system and the MINI Digital Key Plus.
Other features include navigation, remote services, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Powered by a petrol engine featuring MINI TwinPower Turbo technology, the Cooper Oxford Edition delivers 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque.
It accelerates from zero to 100 kmph in 6.6 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 242 kmph.
The engine is paired with a seven-speed Steptronic Sport dual-clutch transmission.
Safety and driver-assistance features include cruise control, parking assistance, a rear-view camera, anti-lock braking system, dynamic stability control and brake assist.
Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, said the special edition paid tribute to MINI’s British heritage and reflected the brand’s distinctive design and individuality.
The classic Mini was first produced at Plant Oxford in 1959, while production of the modern MINI began at the facility in 2001.
