Centre-State Cooperation Crucial to Achieve Viksit Bharat 2047 Vision: Telangana CM

Hyderabad, Oct 14 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday stressed that cooperation between the Centre and states was crucial to achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, asserting that development should remain the primary focus of governance.

Addressing a global summit organised by the SAMAKHYA Chamber of Commerce in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister said, “Our main focus is on development, and politics should be confined to election periods.”

As part of the Telangana Rising 2047 vision, the state aims to become a leading global investment destination, increase its contribution to India’s GDP from the present 5 per cent to 10 per cent, and transform itself into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047, he said.

Revanth Reddy outlined the government’s development strategy based on three regional zones — CURE, PURE and RARE — focusing on technology and services, manufacturing and logistics, and agriculture and rural employment, respectively.

The CURE region, within the Outer Ring Road (ORR), is being developed as a hub for information technology, services, advanced technology and innovation.

The PURE region, between the ORR and the Regional Ring Road, will focus on manufacturing, industrial parks and logistics, while the RARE region, or Rural Agriculture Region Economy, will promote agriculture, food processing, agro-based industries and rural employment.

Assuring investors of the government’s support and protection, the Chief Minister called upon businesses to partner with Telangana’s growth through investor-friendly policies.

He also urged local entrepreneurs to move beyond providing services to corporate companies and build enterprises capable of competing in global markets.

Highlighting Hyderabad’s transformation into an investment destination, he referred to the historic Charminar and the subsequent emergence of HITEC City as landmarks in the city’s economic development.

Revanth Reddy also emphasised the government’s focus on women’s empowerment, citing bank-linkage loans worth Rs. 61,000 crore extended to women.

He said women were being encouraged to become owners of RTC buses, petrol bunks and solar power plants.

He appealed to the SAMAKHYA Chamber of Commerce to encourage women and young entrepreneurs to strengthen the economy and create new opportunities.

The Chief Minister commended the chamber for organising the summit and urged it to document the achievements of members of the Munnuru Kapu community in cinema, politics and other fields and share their success stories with younger generations as a source of inspiration.
