The projects aim to improve pilgrim amenities, ease traffic congestion, strengthen urban infrastructure and position Tirupati as a world-class spiritual destination, while integrating environmental conservation, tourism and employment generation.

The integrated pilgrim township will come up near the Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park Road at Alipiri, bringing accommodation, free meals, transport, parking, medical assistance and digital information services under one roof. Accommodation facilities worth ₹1,332 crore will be developed in four 10-storey blocks comprising 2,700 rooms, with capacity to accommodate approximately 15,000 pilgrims a day.

An Annaprasadam centre, to be built at a cost of ₹160 crore, will serve 6,000 devotees at a time.

A multi-level parking complex with space for 4,500 vehicles will be developed at ₹311 crore, while an integrated transport terminal with 30 bus bays will be established at ₹90 crore.

Naidu said providing food to hungry devotees and accommodation to pilgrims was a form of service to the Almighty, stressing the importance of ensuring a comfortable and spiritually fulfilling experience for visitors.

To improve connectivity, nine master plan roads spanning approximately 20 km will be developed at an estimated cost of ₹242 crore.

TUDA will take up 16.50 km of roads at ₹127 crore, while TTD will develop 3.60 km at ₹115 crore.

The roads are expected to strengthen connectivity between National Highways 140 and 71 and improve access to the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple at Tiruchanur.

The Chief Minister also announced infrastructure development worth ₹230 crore for residential plots allotted to 5,192 TTD employees in the first two phases of a 418-acre housing layout. TTD will contribute ₹150 crore and employees ₹80 crore.

The facilities will include internal roads, drainage, water supply, overhead tanks, a sewage treatment plant and electricity distribution. Naidu directed officials to develop the township as an environmentally sustainable, net-zero project.

He called for establishing a Pilgrim Experience Centre to showcase the history, traditions and spiritual significance of the Tirumala temple, along with digital information centres, emergency medical facilities and modern security systems.

He also launched the ‘Venkatadri’ app to provide information and assistance to devotees.

Emphasising the need to combine spirituality with technology and environmental protection, Naidu directed officials to interlink and beautify lakes in Tirupati and explore the development of areas extending up to Kalyani Dam.

He proposed developing medicinal plant zones as visitor experience centres and called for stronger wildlife conservation, improved management of goshalas and promotion of the Vruksho Govinda initiative.

The Chief Minister also stressed the need to expand service initiatives such as Annadanam, Pranadanam and Vidyadanam, and explore similar service programmes at other temples.

He called for spiritual programmes promoting positive values and initiatives to showcase the significance of Lord Venkateswara to a wider international audience.

Naidu said Tirupati had the potential to emerge as a major destination for weddings and international conferences, and called for an international-standard convention centre to boost economic activity.

He also directed officials to strengthen sports infrastructure, explore the construction of an ACA cricket stadium and equip local youth with skills suited to emerging employment opportunities.
