AP CM Naidu Directs Officials to Ensure Hassle-Free Dasara Celebrations at Vijayawada Temple

Amaravati, Oct 11 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday directed officials and public representatives to ensure the smooth conduct of Sharannavaratri festivities at Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada, stressing that ordinary devotees should not face inconvenience due to VIP visits.

At a review meeting, the Chief Minister called for coordination among the Endowments and Tourism departments and the district administration, as a large number of devotees from other states, Union Ministers and prominent personalities are expected to attend the festivities.

“Dasara should not become a VIP festival,” he said, urging all concerned to cooperate with the decisions taken by senior officials for the smooth conduct of the celebrations.

Naidu directed officials to keep the public informed about darshan arrangements and facilities.

In the event of traffic restrictions during VIP visits, suitable measures should be taken to minimise inconvenience to devotees and motorists, he said.

Reviewing preparations for Vijayawada Utsav 2.0, the Chief Minister instructed the Tourism Department to showcase Andhra Pradesh’s culture and traditions through special programmes and encourage public participation in the Dasara celebrations.

He said the influx of devotees, tourists and visitors from different parts of the country would boost economic activity in the region and called for appropriate arrangements.
