World Egg Day Celebrated in Hyderabad to Promote Nutritional Benefits of Eggs

Hyderabad, Oct 9 (TNT): The Telangana Poultry Federation and the National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC), Hyderabad Zone, jointly organised World Egg Day celebrations at Peddamberpet here on Friday to create awareness about the nutritional value and health benefits of eggs.

Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Fisheries, Sports and Youth Services Vakiti Srihari attended the programme as the chief guest, while Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy was the guest of honour.

The event was supported by the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (IPEMA)–Poultry India.

Addressing the gathering, IPEMA–Poultry India President Uday Singh Bayas highlighted the importance of eggs as an affordable source of high-quality protein, essential vitamins and minerals, and encouraged people of all age groups to include them in their daily diets.

The programme emphasised the role of egg consumption in promoting balanced nutrition and highlighted the poultry sector’s contribution to food security, employment and the economy.

On the occasion, Bayas invited poultry farmers, industry stakeholders, entrepreneurs and professionals to participate in the 18th Poultry India Expo 2026, scheduled to be held at the HITEX Exhibition Centre here from November 25 to 27, with Poultry Knowledge Day on November 24.

The expo will bring together equipment manufacturers, technology providers, nutrition specialists, farmers, veterinarians, researchers and industry leaders to showcase innovations, facilitate knowledge exchange and explore business opportunities across the poultry value chain.

The celebrations reaffirmed the organisers’ commitment to promoting awareness of egg nutrition and supporting the development of the poultry industry.
