IRB Group’s September Toll Revenue Rises 24% to Rs. 773 Crore
On a like-for-like basis, toll revenue of the group’s wholly owned subsidiaries grew 17 per cent, the company said in a statement on Friday.
Amitabh Murarka, Deputy CEO of IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited, attributed the revenue growth to increased economic activity and the commencement of the festive season.
He said the Navaratri and Diwali festivities, along with the holiday season, were expected to support traffic growth and toll collections in the coming months.
Among the group’s assets, the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and Old Mumbai-Pune Highway recorded toll revenue of Rs. 162.1 crore in September, compared with Rs. 139.6 crore a year earlier.
The Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway and Highway reported revenue of Rs. 79.5 crore, against Rs. 66.6 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The IRB Golconda Expressway, covering Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road, recorded toll revenue of Rs. 81.2 crore, up from Rs. 70.4 crore a year earlier.
The Udaipur-Shamlaji highway reported Rs. 28.5 crore, compared with Rs. 25.9 crore.
The company’s project-wise data showed a mixed performance across individual assets, with some highways recording higher collections while others reported marginal declines.
IRB Group operates a portfolio of 27 revenue-generating highway assets across 13 states, with an aggregate asset value of approximately Rs. 94,000 crore, according to the company. Its assets record around 15 lakh vehicle crossings daily.
The group said it plans to expand its asset base to approximately Rs. 1.4 lakh crore by FY2030 through an asset monetisation and reinvestment strategy.
