Telangana CM orders probe into missing 45 acres in Erravalli survey number
Hyderabad, Oct 6 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed officials to identify 45 acres of land reportedly missing from official records in Survey No. 325 at Erravalli village in Markook mandal of Siddipet district.
The Chief Minister reviewed the land records relating to Erravalli and neighbouring Venkatapuram villages and was briefed that Survey No. 325 was recorded as having 388 acres, while a survey had identified only 343 acres.
Revanth Reddy directed officials to issue notices to former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his family members, whose lands are located adjacent to the survey area, seeking submission of their revenue records to the government.
The Chief Minister said the government proposed to distribute the land in Survey No. 325 to eligible local farmers.
He also directed officials to establish a Telangana Martyrs’ Colony in the survey area for families of those who lost their lives during the Telangana movement.
The proposed colony would include housing plots for eligible martyrs’ families and basic amenities, with the Housing Department being considered for execution of the project.
Revanth Reddy directed officials to complete construction of the Martyrs’ Colony by June 2.
