Hyderabad, Feb 23 (TNT): The College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, the premier tri-service institution of the Indian Armed Forces, will host its Annual Seminar on February 24 and 25, 2026, in collaboration with Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, which will serve as the Knowledge Partner.
Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, has consented to deliver the keynote address.
The two-day seminar, to be held at the CDM campus with online streaming to military and academic institutions across India, is a landmark annual event in the strategic and defence community, a defence release said here on Monday.
This year’s theme, “Multi-Domain Integrated Technologically-Empowered Resilient Armed Forces (MITRA),” highlights the evolving nature of military and warfighting strategies amid a complex geopolitical and technological landscape.
Major General G. Srinivas, Commandant, CDM, will present the opening address, underscoring the institution’s commitment to developing strategic leaders for the Indian Armed Forces.
Prof. Madan Pillutla, Dean, ISB, will speak on “Leadership for Future-Ready and Resilient Armed Forces.”
The seminar will be conducted in three sessions over two days, each focusing on key aspects of Multi-Domain Operations (MDO).
On Day 1, the first session titled “Multi-Domain Operations & Integration” will examine the evolution of MDO, its relevance to India’s operational environment, lessons from recent conflicts, and envisioning MDO in 2035 to ensure future readiness of the Indian Defence Forces.
The second session, “Technology Empowerment & Atmanirbharata in Capability Development for MDO,” will deliberate on emerging and disruptive technologies, the defence industrial technological base, information dominance, cognitive warfare, and cyber and space strategies in multi-domain operations.
The final session on February 25, themed “Structures, Preparedness and Resilience for MDO,” will focus on organisational design for interoperability, integrated capability development, human capital and leadership for future warfare, and civil-military fusion in the context of MDO.
With participation from senior defence officials, scholars, industry representatives and practitioners, the Seminar 2026 is expected to promote strategic discourse and strengthen comprehensive national power in line with the MITRA framework for managing future security challenges and building a resilient India.
