Attempts to obstruct development will not be tolerated: AP CM Chandrababu Naidu
Udayagiri, Sept. 29 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday said the coalition government was committed to building poverty-free villages, reducing economic inequalities and strengthening the rural economy.
Addressing a public meeting at Ramapuram village in Varikuntapadu mandal of Udayagiri constituency as part of the Palle Panduga 3.0 programme, he warned that attempts by certain groups to obstruct development initiatives would not be tolerated.
The Chief Minister criticised the previous government over its policies and alleged that it had resorted to acts of destruction and conspiracies.
He urged people to recognise the development and welfare initiatives being undertaken by the present government and remain alert to attempts to disrupt them.
Naidu said the coalition government was working to restore dignity and protect the rights of the poor, while ensuring that the benefits of development and welfare reached every village and family.
Referring to the Veligonda project, he accused the previous government of misleading people by inaugurating it despite works worth ₹4,000 crore remaining pending.
He assured the people that Phase II of the Veligonda project would also be completed to provide irrigation water to Udayagiri constituency and help transform Markapuram district into a prosperous agricultural region.
The Chief Minister called for a distinction between governance aimed at improving people’s lives and politics involving criminalisation.
He appealed to the public to support the coalition government in accelerating development and expanding welfare measures across the state.
