Hyderabad, Feb 22 (TNT): The Telangana government is planning to establish a Junior College/school on nearly five acres of government land reclaimed by HYDRAA in Kondapur, outskirts of the city.
Senior officials from the School Education Department, the Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner and HYDRAA, along with other officials, conducted a field inspection at Raja Rajeswari Layout in Kondapur on Sunday morning.
Officials said a top-class educational institution would soon be developed on the high-value land recovered by HYDRAA. Additionally, about one-and-a-half acres of park land reclaimed from alleged encroachers will be developed into a public park at the request of local residents.
The Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner assured residents that the park would be taken up for development.
Authorities stated that all lands reclaimed by HYDRAA are being gradually put to public use.
Any pending court cases relating to the reclaimed lands will be dealt with legally, and utilisation for public purposes will be undertaken only after obtaining necessary court clearances.
On the directions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the State government, departments concerned to whom the reclaimed lands have been allocated are initiating legal steps to secure the required approvals from courts.
HYDRAA has so far reclaimed around 1,350 acres of government, lake, park and open space lands valued at over Rs 70,000 crore, officials added.
