TELANGANA TO ACCELERATE DEVELOPMENT WITH ZERO POVERTY, ADVANCED ECONOMY GOALS
Hyderabad, Sept 24 (TNT): Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka held a high-level meeting with Finance and Planning department secretaries and senior officials to discuss an accelerated framework for achieving the State’s long-term development goals.
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary and GFST Vice-Chairman S.P. Tucker and GFST officials attended the meeting at the Deputy Chief Minister’s camp office.
The meeting discussed measures to achieve Zero Poverty by 2030 and transform Telangana into the first advanced economy State in the country by 2033.
Key decisions included strengthening the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) through a dedicated Project Management Unit, preparing comprehensive district development plans and engaging domain experts and consultants.
The government also proposed an MoU with GFST for strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, technical support and monitoring of development initiatives.
Seven Sectoral Growth Labs will be organised focusing on Zero Poverty, Infrastructure and Logistics, Health, Tourism, Livestock and Aquaculture, Urbanisation and Advanced Economy.
The initiatives are aimed at strengthening planning, implementation and monitoring through measurable outcomes and time-bound action plans.
