Combined East Godavari ZP tenure ends, chairman Venugopalarao felicitated
Kakinada, Sept 23 (TNT): The tenure of the Combined East Godavari Zilla Parishad (ZP) formally came to an end on Wednesday, with ZP Chairman Vipparty Venugopalarao and other ZPTC members being felicitated at the special concluding meeting held at the ZP meeting hall here.
The Combined East Godavari district Zilla Parishad remained intact even after the erstwhile district was divided into four new districts.
Addressing the farewell meeting, several ZPTC members, including the chairman, expressed concern over several developmental works remaining incomplete due to shortage of funds.
District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad, who attended the meeting, appreciated Chairman Venugopalarao and his team for their efforts towards ensuring balanced development across all four regions.
The Collector said the ZPTC members, deputy chairmen and vice-chairmen, Chief Executive Officer and Deputy CEO had contributed to the overall development of the district.
He complimented the ZP chairman and members for working towards comprehensive development cutting across political differences and hoped that the outgoing ZPTC members would achieve greater heights in their future endeavours based on the experience gained during their tenure.
The Collector, along with the ZPTC members, felicitated Chairman Venugopalarao by presenting him with a shawl.
ZP vice-chairmen Burra Anubabu, Merugu Padmalatha and Rongala Padmalatha recalled the developmental works undertaken by the Zilla Parishad during their tenure.
MLC Kudupudi Suryanarayana, Kakinada Municipal Corporation Commissioner Satyanarayana, ZP CEO Lakshmanarao and Deputy CEO D. Srilalitha, among others, attended the meeting.
