Magellanic Cloud arm gets Rs 44.60 lakh order from Nayara Energy for AI surveillance
Hyderabad, Sept 21 (TNT): Magellanic Cloud Limited’s wholly owned subsidiary Provigil Surveillance Limited on Monday said it has received a purchase order worth Rs 44.60 lakh from Nayara Energy Limited to deploy an AI-powered Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and video analytics platform at selected retail outlets and oil depots.
In a release, the Hyderabad-based company said the order marks its expansion into the AI-powered fuel retail automation and enterprise surveillance segment.
The platform will integrate computer vision with fuel dispensing infrastructure to enable automated vehicle-to-dispense validation, security monitoring and safety management information system (MIS) reporting at retail outlets and depots.
Magellanic Cloud said the initial deployment would provide a scalable model for potential expansion across the fuel retail ecosystem, including private and public sector oil marketing company outlets and distribution depots.
Chairman and Managing Director Joseph Sudheer Reddy Thumma said the order with Nayara Energy marked an operational milestone for the company as it expands its AI surveillance capabilities into the energy retail sector.
He said the company’s AI video analytics solutions could support loss prevention and operational efficiency as oil marketing companies accelerate digitisation of their forecourts.
The company said successful implementation of the project would strengthen Provigil Surveillance’s presence in AI-powered forecourt automation and create opportunities for further deployments and technology upgrades.
