Collector inspects arrangements for Pawan Kalyan’s two-day Pithapuram visit

Kakinada, Sept 20 (TNT): The Kakinada district administration has made elaborate arrangements for Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s two-day visit to his Pithapuram constituency from Monday, with security being strengthened for the visit.

Police personnel from various stations have been deployed on special duty in view of the Deputy Chief Minister’s visit on September 21 and 22.

Meanwhile, District Collector M N Harendhira Prasad on Sunday inspected the venues of the official programmes in and around Pithapuram and directed officials to ensure all arrangements were completed.

The Collector, along with Joint Collector Apurva Bharat, inspected the venue of a public meeting and reviewed arrangements including barricading and stalls.

They later visited FK Palyam in Nagulapalli village and inspected arrangements for the inauguration of the Comprehensive Protected Drinking Water Scheme.

The Collector directed officials of various departments to work in coordination and ensure that the arrangements were completed without any lapses.

RDO Sripada Mallibabu, Pithapuram Development Authority Project Director Sivarama Prasad and officials of various departments accompanied the Collector during the inspection.

The Information Department said media personnel would not be permitted inside the venues of the Deputy Chief Minister’s programmes during the two-day visit, citing accommodation constraints.
