ISB playing key role in providing direction to Indian youth: Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann
Mohali, Sept 19 (TNT) : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday said the Indian School of Business (ISB) was playing a key role in providing direction to India’s youth and helping channel their energy towards leadership and success.
Mann was addressing the ISB Leadership Summit 2026 in Mohali, which marked the beginning of the institution’s Silver Jubilee year.
The summit was held on the theme “India Unbound: Defining Tomorrow’s Leadership.”
Highlighting ISB’s growth as a globally recognised business school, Mann said India’s youth had immense energy, while institutions such as ISB provided the necessary direction and leadership to help them succeed.
He also advised future business leaders to remain rooted in strong values and contribute to society, according to an ISB statement.
The summit brought together leaders from business, government, academia and other sectors to deliberate on the leadership required as India’s economy, businesses and institutions evolve.
ISB Executive Board Chairman Harish Manwani said leadership was about taking responsibility with integrity during uncertain times rather than merely holding a position.
He stressed that businesses should create value for shareholders as well as stakeholders and communities.
As part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, ISB Dean Madan Pillutla unveiled a commemorative film, logo and website marking the institution’s 25-year journey.
He also highlighted the potential of artificial intelligence to transform society and said leaders would have to ensure that technology benefits everyone.
MP Manish Tewari delivered the keynote address at the summit. The sessions covered entrepreneurship, consumer businesses, aviation, finance and global brand building, with participation from industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and ISB alumni.
The summit was organised by students from ISB’s PGP, PGP YL, PGP PRO, PGP MAX and PGP MFAB programmes.
ISB, which completed 25 years, has expanded its programmes, research, faculty and alumni network across industries and geographies since its establishment.
