ACCE(I) Hyderabad celebrates Engineers Day, announces RIDES 2026
Hyderabad, Sept 15 (TNT): The Hyderabad Centre of the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers India (ACCE-I) celebrated Engineers Day on Tuesday and presented awards to professionals for their contributions to the engineering and infrastructure sectors.
The event, held at the IAS Officers Institute in Begumpet, marked the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.
Speaking on the occasion, ACCE(I) Chairman Bheem Rao Jaligama recalled Visvesvaraya’s contributions and said engineers had a responsibility towards nation-building, while Secretary General Adepu Kashiram stressed the need for engineers to continuously upgrade their skills and knowledge.
Eminent Engineer Awards were presented to D. Putarayya, V. Vinod Bhargava, Prof. P. Sreenivas Sarma and Dr Mallika Alapati. The National Eminent Engineer Award was conferred on V. V. Krishna Reddy.
The association also launched the brochure and registration for RIDES 2026, a conference scheduled in November. It will feature 12 sessions by national and international speakers on resilient engineering, innovation, sustainable practices, contemporary developments and emerging challenges in civil engineering.
