Aarthi Scans to provide free MRI scans to economically weaker patients in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Sept 15(TNT): Aarthi Scans and Labs,  Aarthi Scans and Labs is India’s largest integrated diagnostics provider, on Tuesday  announced an initiative to provide free MRI scans to economically disadvantaged patients in Hyderabad who are unable to afford the diagnostic investigation.

Under the initiative, eligible patients can avail the facility at the Aarthi Scans and Labs centre in Kondapur, the diagnostics provider said in a release here.

The initiative is aimed at patients who require an MRI scan but cannot afford the cost.

Preference will be given to individuals below the poverty line, subject to the eligibility criteria prescribed by the organisation.

Patients can access the facility through a referral note from a doctor at a government medical college hospital along with the government referral slip, a letter from an NGO confirming the need for the scan, or a referral from an Aarthi Scans and Labs employee who can establish that the patient genuinely requires the investigation and cannot afford it.

Dr Prasannaa Vignesh, Executive Director and Radiologist, Aarthi Scans and Labs, said the initiative was an extension of the organisation’s objective of making diagnostic services affordable and accessible.

While the organisation works to keep diagnostic services affordable, there are patients who cannot afford even the reduced cost, he said, adding that the initiative seeks to remove the financial barrier for those who genuinely require an MRI scan.

The initiative is intended to improve access to advanced diagnostic services and support timely diagnosis among underserved communities in Hyderabad.
